YEREVAN. – The Dear Angel organization of the Armenians in the Netherlands released a statement offering Armenia to be presented by Lucia Moon (Babayants), former Nagorno-Karabakh, current U.S. resident at the Eurovision-2012 song-contest.
“Armenian First channel has finally decided on its participation in the Eurovision-2012 song-contest in Baku. The best ‘boycott’ is the participation in the song festival, also supported by the Diaspora in order to raise Armenia’s credit abroad.
Currently the issue on who will represent Armenia in the contest is under discussion. The Armenians in the Netherlands have for many times expressed their opinion on the issue. Besides, many Armenian newspapers and information agencies also are for the candidacy of Lucia Moon, former Karabakh and current U.S. resident. This, however, does not mean there are no candidates inside Armenia to represent the state,” the statement reads.
Earlier Armenian News-NEWS.am has informed that the singer’s Armenian producer Davit Iondem told that Lucia is pleased to present Armenia in the contest.
